STUDENTS RECOGNIZED
AT ECA AWARDS BANQUET

Students of Edna Christian Academy (ECA) were joined by parents, faculty, and friends on Friday, May 27 for the 2005 Awards Banquet. The banquet is an annual event which recognizes ECA students for academic achievements.

Following a bar-b-que dinner catered by Frontier, awards were presented to students by Rev. Darrell Clark, the school principal, assisted by Donna Kazmir and Elayne Hudson, supervisors.

The following students were recognized for successfully memorizing assigned scripture passages each month of the school year: Jasmine Callis, Austin Fielder, Hunter Kazmir, Stacy Kazmir, Lizzy Malachowski, Scott Malachowski, Makayla McLeod, Michael McLeod, Shellbe Morton, and Jennifer Sliva.

The Supervisor's Award was presented to Austin Fielder, Hunter Kazmir, Lizzy Malachowski, and Jennifer Sliva for achieving a 94 to 97 percent yearly average on pace tests.

Trophies were awarded to the following students who achieved the Honor Roll every quarter: Jasmine Callis, Austin Fielder, Hunter Kazmir, Lizzy Malachowski, Makayla McLeod, Michael McLeod, and Jennifer Sliva.

Members of the Thousands Club were awarded for making at least ten 100's throughout the year. Recipients were Austin Fielder, Hunter Kazmir, Lizzy Malachowski, Makayla McLeod, and Jennifer Sliva.

Jasmine Callis, recipient of the Pastor's Award, was honored with a trophy for her commendable Christian character.

Hunter Kazmir received an award for most improved, and Jennifer Sliva was recognized as most humorous.

Makayla McLeod and Michael McLeod were chosen by their classmates as Best Girl and Best Boy.

Certificates were also awarded to Hunter Kazmir and Stacy Kazmir for perfect attendance.
